Affinity Groups

IEEE Affinity Groups are non-technical Subunits of one or more Sections or a Council.  An Affinity Group is a Local Unit of an IEEE Organizational Unit or Standing Committee, established by petition to the Parent Organizational Unit, to fulfill the purposes of IEEE.

Women in Engineering (WIE) IEEE South Africa Section is an affinity group of the IEEE. The mission of IEEE WIE is to facilitate the global recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines. IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.

 

IEEE YP (Northern region)

 

This IEEE YP (Young Professionals) Afinity Group is a community of enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative members and volunteers who live or work in the northern provinces of South Africa. The provinces include Gauteng, North-West, Northern Cape, Limpopo and Mpumalanga. IEEE is committed to helping young professionals evaluate their career goals, polish their professional image, and create the building blocks of a lifelong and diverse professional network.
