University of Johannesburg's Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, Executive Dean: Professor Saurabh Sinha cordially invites you to the Public Lecture to be delivered by the IEEE President and CEO, Prof Howard E Michel.

Prof Michel's address will provide insight into his transition from the US Air Force, to academia and his current role as IEEE President and CEO. His industry experience is vast and includes service to the US Air Force as a pilot, engineer, technical manager and satellite launch director. His research and development activities further enhanced his career into academia and in 2014, was appointed as leader of the largest global professional society.

Prof Michel's work has inspired many engineers and individuals across fields. His address will benefit engineers and managers who deal with varied technologies. The event is open but not limited to specialists, researchers, academics, professionals within the field of electrical and electronic engineering and broad spectrum engineers.
